Privacy at SoManyFacts

Version dated 31 October 2026.

Below you will find how SoManyFacts treats personal information and your say over it.

What reaches us

A form you fill in here passes us your note and your contact details.

Notes pointing out a mistake wait for us to look at them, with any name or email you add.

Tips, ratings and comments you post are kept on our server and may be shown to other visitors, and you can ask us to remove one.

To block double voting, we keep a scrambled code made from the IP address, with no way to recover the original.

On top of that:

  • Facts you submit, with your name and email if you give them, used only to check the fact and credit you.
  • Anonymous "mind blown" taps, counted per fact.

For each page you open, our hosting company keeps a record of basic request details such as IP address and browser, so problems and abuse can be traced.

Separately, we hold anonymous totals on how pages get used, with nobody named.

Your browser, not our server

Features that save your place store your choices on your side, not ours; we never receive any of that.

Cookies and other sites

Looking around SoManyFacts needs no account, and needs none of our cookies.

Where we use measurement tools or advertising, cookies may come with them, and you can delete them at any time.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell your details, and never have. Except for the firms that run our servers and email, your information is not passed on unless the law compels us.

Asking for your data

To check or clear your data, write to facts@somanyfacts.com and we will reply.

Children and changes

We do not aim SoManyFacts at anyone under 13, so if a child under 13 has sent us anything, tell us and we will delete it.

If this policy changes, the revised version replaces this one and the date at the top moves.
