Tips for a good fun fact

    • Keep it true and short. One sentence is enough. Add a few words of "why" if people look curious.
    • Pick something people can ask about. "I once got lost in Venice for three hours" starts a conversation; "I like pizza" ends one.
    • Match the room. At work, keep it light. Avoid anything too personal, about health or money, or that you wouldn’t want repeated.
    • Have a backup. Someone may share yours first. Keep a second one ready.
    • No luck? Share a fact you love instead: "My favorite fun fact is that octopuses have three hearts." Get a random fact.
