Animals fact

A group of crows is called a murder.

The details

The collective noun dates back to English hunting terms of the 1400s, when many animal groups were given colorful names. Others from the same tradition include a parliament of owls and an exaltation of larks. Crows themselves are among the most intelligent birds, able to use tools and recognize human faces.
